My Story

I was born in Los Angeles, CA to parents who tried everything to have me. I grew up in Lynwood, CA with a variety of different family members that would come from Samoa for a better opportunity in life. My dad worked 2 full time jobs my whole life which meant time with him was rare. My favorite memories with him are going to the donut shop. My mom was everyones favorite baker growing up. Many of my memories with her consist of being in the kitchen and learning different skills. Being Samoan, it's known that our people love to bond over food. Even though I had good memories, I had a good amount of traumatic memories at a young age. A common theme for my life is the feeling of loneliness and rejection. I was the weird shy girl and I never could fit in with any specific group. Boys did not like me until I was a freshman in High School. It could have been the adolescent unibrow lol. After High School I had to leave the only home I had ever known & move states in less than 1 month of graduation. My parents had to move to Samoa as my dad assumed the title of Chief for our family village. At 18 years old I didn't understand
